I hate the GOP more than the DNC. At least with the DNC you know where they stand. The GOP is nothing more than backstabbing office whores. damn the lot of them.

We cannot object to the Left smearing conservatives with such labels if we do not rebuke those on our side who sink to such tactics.

That is what the NRSC should have realized before they let the Cochran campaign run wild.

It is a bit late for the GOP. With this kind of race baiting and not a single national leader standing up against it and congratulating Thad Cocharan. As far as I am concerned the GOP is past tense for me.

I'm a conservative but I will not give a bent penny to the RNC or any other GOP affiliate. The Idea of them being the party of conservatism is over.

Priebus isn't going to investigate squat.

"Indeed, back in 2011 this story in Politico discussing Priebus’s relationship said that Barbour was “central to Priebus's bid” to be elected RNC chairman."

Thank you Chairman Martin. The Republican Party absolutely should not mimic the Democrat Party slander that tea partiers are racist. It is simply unacceptable. Keep the pressure up. Let’s hope the RNC listens.

If you won’t do what is right we will go around you. Cochran needs to concede.

Ironic isn’t it? Priebus, the Cochran campaign and their ilk are acting like Obama and Holder.

WASHINGTON – Following today’s admission from the Internal Revenue Service that the agency deliberately targeted conservative groups, Chairman Priebus sent a letter to House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid calling for immediate Congressional hearings.

“Americans of all political affiliations—and of none—should be absolutely outraged and appalled that the IRS, under the Obama administration, has admitted to using its power to target and harass conservative organizations,” said Chairman Priebus. “There’s no explanation for singling out groups based on their political views—except for blatant political opportunism. It’s an obvious abuse of power and nothing less than government corruption.

**************************

Today, I’m asking Speaker Boehner and Leader Reid for their support in calling for an immediate investigation and congressional hearings. It will take more than a weak apology from the IRS to regain the public’s trust.”

**************************
Text of Letter:

Dear Mr. Speaker and Mr. Leader,

Today, the Internal Revenue Service has admitted to targeting organizations that express conservative political views. Without a doubt, you can understand why this is a blatant abuse of power. This government agency has violated the public trust, and Americans are right to be outraged.

It is clear that IRS agents went out of their way to harass conservative groups and to limit their ability to exercise their First Amendment rights. Regardless of one’s political affiliation, this is appalling and unacceptable.

A simple apology will not suffice. The implications of such actions are too great. The IRS’s admission has raised a number of questions that must be answered as quickly as possible, and there must be a thorough investigation.

Americans deserve answers. Was political pressure placed on the IRS from inside or outside the administration? Was the White House in contact with the IRS office in question? Are we certain other such abuses of power have not occurred in the IRS or in other government agencies? Did the Obama administration and the IRS deliberately ignore the warning signs and the many complaints they received from the targeted groups?

This is an issue that extends beyond politics. This is about preserving transparency in our government and basic constitutional rights.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Reince Priebus
