Missouri GOP Chair:"Investigate Mississippi Primary Racism."
Republican National Chairman Reince Priebus has been asked to open an investigation into the Mississippi Senate GOP runoff electionby a member of the RNC.
In an interview with The American Spectator, Missouri State Republican Chairman Ed Martin says he believes what happened in Mississippi is symbolic of a battle for the future of the party. Martin says that RNC colleagues he has spoken to are looking for Reince Priebus to show leadership on the issue. Leadership defined as opening an investigation into what Martin and others see as race-baiting tactics used to win the primary runoff for six-term GOP establishment Senator Thad Cochran over Tea Party member Chris McDaniel. Martin says what happened in Mississippi is beyond the pale. One of his RNC colleagues, Dr. Ada Fisher, a physician who serves as the committeewoman for North Carolina and the granddaughter of a slave has volunteered to serve on a panel that would investigate the controversy.
This is yet another indication that the damage from the controversial Mississippi runoff is spilling over into national Republican politics. Indeed, the issue has already surged inside the Beltway with this story that appeared Tuesday night in the Washington Post. Additionally, Martin has written a longer missive at his website headlined: Investigate Mississippi Primary Racism.
Lets begin with the letter the Missouri State chairman has written to the RNC:
Dear Chairman Priebus,
As you know, the situation in Mississippi following the Republican primary run-off is receiving national attention.
I have been particularly concerned about the racially divisive ads and robocalls that have been reported by the Daily Mail. Specifically, that reporting indicated that one of our RNC members was directly responsible for the racially divisive ads.
I have been asking some of my fellow RNC members for their input and advice. Many of us are..................."

Thanks for the reminder. Done!
“The GOP is nothing more than backstabbing office whores. damn the lot of them.”
Agree
I sent them this.
If you won’t do what is right we will go around you. Cochran needs to concede.
The Conservative Party

The Constitution Party

Why hate them more? The GOP-e and the Dems hated Reagan, but see the reason why in my tag line.
This is a scam between the two parties that has been going on for 100 or so years.
Wow.... I knew about the Constitution Party, but I did not know that there was a Conservative Party USA.
Ironic isn’t it? Priebus, the Cochran campaign and their ilk are acting like Obama and Holder.
WASHINGTON Following todays admission from the Internal Revenue Service that the agency deliberately targeted conservative groups, Chairman Priebus sent a letter to House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid calling for immediate Congressional hearings.
Americans of all political affiliationsand of noneshould be absolutely outraged and appalled that the IRS, under the Obama administration, has admitted to using its power to target and harass conservative organizations, said Chairman Priebus. Theres no explanation for singling out groups based on their political viewsexcept for blatant political opportunism. Its an obvious abuse of power and nothing less than government corruption.
**************************
Today, Im asking Speaker Boehner and Leader Reid for their support in calling for an immediate investigation and congressional hearings. It will take more than a weak apology from the IRS to regain the publics trust.
**************************
Text of Letter:
Dear Mr. Speaker and Mr. Leader,
Today, the Internal Revenue Service has admitted to targeting organizations that express conservative political views. Without a doubt, you can understand why this is a blatant abuse of power. This government agency has violated the public trust, and Americans are right to be outraged.
It is clear that IRS agents went out of their way to harass conservative groups and to limit their ability to exercise their First Amendment rights. Regardless of ones political affiliation, this is appalling and unacceptable.
A simple apology will not suffice. The implications of such actions are too great. The IRSs admission has raised a number of questions that must be answered as quickly as possible, and there must be a thorough investigation.
Americans deserve answers. Was political pressure placed on the IRS from inside or outside the administration? Was the White House in contact with the IRS office in question? Are we certain other such abuses of power have not occurred in the IRS or in other government agencies? Did the Obama administration and the IRS deliberately ignore the warning signs and the many complaints they received from the targeted groups?
This is an issue that extends beyond politics. This is about preserving transparency in our government and basic constitutional rights.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Reince Priebus

What would a republican know about leadership?..
“I hate the GOP more than the DNC.”
Teaparty is out of line in challenging so many repubican incumbents.
Democrats have 21 seats up and no significant primary challenges.
Republicans have 15 seats up and have had 5 significant challenges to incumbents.
Fox investigating the henhouse.
I called and was told they do nothing to help in primaries because there’s a statute prohibiting it. When I asked why the MO chairman asked for an investigation if that is true the person st the RNC told me he was as wrong as I was. Their staff is no more honest than Hillary Clinton or Jay Carney.
So you’d rather have RINOs? If now isn’t the time to try to rid the GOP of RINOs, when?
I am a proud supporter of republicans or what you would call a rino.
If you want to get rid of us and a war, then a war you shall have.
Yeah, the tea party should just shut up and go away. /s
me too.
Bite the line.
I don't play by your rules.
It's very important that liberal republicans lose at either the primary or in the general election.

Plan on political napalm.
Because I won't be polite. Or nice. Or turn another cheek.
I'll politically destroy every pro-amnesty liberal republican that I can find, as best I can.
I understand that you have posted that you support amnesty.
/johnny
People like you like to twist words.
Yes, I support a version of amnesty for a very small and limited group and of course you lump everyone together into a “LET THEM ALL IN AMNESTY”
You are blind if you can’t tell the difference between the republican propoasals on “amnesty” and the democrat version which is pretty much let them all in.
