Orphan Black has cloned itself another season.
BBC America has renewed the critically hailed sci-fi series led by Tatiana Maslany for a third season, greenlighting 10 more episodes for a spring 2015 premiere. Production on the new season kicks off in Toronto in September.
The one-hour clone drama has become a crucial benchmark for the cable network as it expands its foothold in original scripted programming beyond British staple Doctor Who. Orphan Black has attracted more that its share of accolades since its March 2013 launch, earning Maslany who plays nearly a dozen characters a Golden Globe nomination and honors from the Critics' Choice TV Awards, TCA Awards and Canadian Screen Awards. This year, Orphan Black added a Peabody Award to its trophy case.

I stopped watching during the first or second episode when a character decided to steal anothers identity and boyfriend..
I can’t watch that one. The female clones are hot but the shemale version pretty much kilt it for me.
In before the “I don’t have a tv and I’m so much smarter than you people that do” comment.
“I stopped watching during the first or second episode when a character decided to steal anothers identity and boyfriend..”
That is actually the moment that catches most people and sucks them in. It was right at the beginning of the first episode so you didn’t give it much of a chance. She does it not knowing she is a clone at the time and sees an opportunity to make some money. Little did she know to start with that the identity she was stealing was a cops.
LOL
No, it looked like she was going to sleep with someone else’s man, so I turned it off.
I tried to like this series and did, at first, but it got too Torchwood for me and I decided it wasn’t worth it, even though the star is great.
“No, it looked like she was going to sleep with someone elses man, so I turned it off.”
Yes, she was doing that to avoid having to answer questions and avoid detection.
That’s aside from the portrayals of homosexual behavior.
Well, then I am not interested.
I’m not a prude and can handle a homosexual character but the crap about reminding me every few minutes gets to be too much.
Reminds me of a FOX show. I don’t watch TV any more but I was bored. I think it was “Mindy Project” or something.
A girl and her BF decides she should sleep with someone else and she does. The end.
I never watched FOX again except for a few football games.
Outstanding show. This is good news!
“Well, then I am not interested.”
But if you had continued to watch you would find out that she is a mother with an absolutely adorable little girl for whom she would do anything to keep safe, and was trying to get away from an abusive boyfriend.
You would also find out that the “boyfriend” you referred to has much more complex ties to the clones.
Brilliant show. Maslany is amazing.
Exactly. That is why I stopped watching “Last Tango in Halifax”.
Situational ethics never did appeal to me.
