A few shoe sightings doesn’t mean much. The kids wearing the shoes might not even know where they came from, much less what they mean. What interests me is how the current flood of “refugees” got underway.

It is possible that some sort of grapevine spread the idea that any child that rushes to America wins the benefits lottery.
Who started it and when? I bet there are fingerprints; too bad “investigative journalists” are extinct.

Now you’re talking about what is really important, rather than some silly shoes that a couple of them were wearing.

There have been stories that showed “cheat sheets” were found in the desert, where someone gave the children, in Spanish, the questions they would face from INS and what the “right” answers were to get temporary refugee status. So, someone is orchestrating this and coaching the kids.
