IN A newly discovered audio interview Hillary Clinton laughs as she details how she got a plea bargain for a man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl, even though she seemed to think he was guilty.

In 1975, the same year she married Bill, Ms Clinton (then 27-year-old Hillary Rodham) agreed to serve as the court-appointed attorney for Thomas Alfred Taylor, a 41-year-old who was accused of getting the child drunk and raping her in his car.

In the recordings, intended for an Esquire profile that was never published, Ms Clinton casually explained how she got her client to walk free.

From the linked article: "The investigator said there was not enough blood left on the underwear to test, which ultimately caused the Arkansas judge to offer Taylor a plea deal."

Since when do judges offer plea deals? Isn't that a function of the prosecutor, with the judge approving any such deal?

Is Hillary stupid, lying, or was she practicing in an incompetent court?

Oh, well ... At this point what difference does it make?

She should say she was drunk when she did the radio interview, was nervious and the laughter was caused by that. That excuse I might believe.
