You can not have a welfare state and open borders. Period.

What I don’t understand is when did immigrants become eligible for government aid in the first place, let alone ILLEGAL aliens?

When my grandfather immigrated from Poland, he needed an economic sponsor so as to not become a burden of society.

I spoke to a Vietnamese lady who owns a nail salon in Southlake, TX not long ago. She was telling me her life story about how she came here from Vietnam.

She and her family came here legally. They each had only the clothes on their backs. The government got them an apartment in Houston for one year and then told them they were on their own. She and her family had to pay back every dime, which they were glad to do for being allowed the honor of living in the U.S.

She is so angry about illegal immigration and the handouts.
