Mississippi state Sen. Chris McDaniel's (R-MS) campaign manger, state Sen. Melanie Sojourner (pictured), vowed to never endorse Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS), who Sojourner said is guilty of using race baiting tactics in order to win the runoff for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate.

Here's the full text of Sojourner's Facebook post:
Throughout my campaign and since I've repeatedly made comments about how I felt the Republican Party was doing itself a disservice by not reaching out to conservative African-Americans. Where I'm from, in rural Mississippi, I grew up knowing lots a God-fearing, hard-working, independent conservative minded African-American family's. On the McDaniel Campaign we had two young men from just such family's on our staff.
This is not what the Cochran campaign did. They did not reach out to African-American Democrats based on sharing a vision of conservative principles. No they abandon those beliefs, told out right lies and made vicious attacks against one of Mississippi's most decorated conservative Republican champions and to make it worse used race baiting tactics to take advantage of African-American voters all for the sake of holding onto a seat to feed their money grubbing, greedy, selfish egos.
I'm really tired of hearing some say it's just time we hold hands and get along for the sake of the party. A party that does not stand on conviction is no party at all. A party who abandons it's core beliefs is no party at all. A party who launches heinous attacks against it's on and takes advantage of others is no party at all. For me to ever endorse Cochran would be to say that I can accept or find it ok the tactics he used. That will simply never be the truth. Ever.

Some Truth from Sojourner.
“I’m really tired of hearing some say it’s just time we hold hands and get along for the sake of the party. “
Amen to that! I am not Rodney King!
This should have been the Republican message since the days of John Fremont. Sadly, the Cochran camp has brought truth to the Democrat lies of the last 46 years.
Must be defeated at all costs.
His outrageous attack against conservative voters in MS will not stand.
I agree!!!
Bravo!
REMEMBER MISSISSIPPI!

I have no hatred of the RINO’s but I cannot support Cochran because he is a business as usual politician to begin with who has been faking conservatism for a long time like so many of them.
The tactics used to win this primary only confirm my convictions in the matter.
Cochran or Childers, Reid or McConnell, the only difference is the speed at which these people would lead this nation to its demise with out of control spending, higher debt and new taxes.
So get the write-in campaign going NOW and stop all this court challenge BS that will go NOWHERE!

The art of proofreading is dead. We are a poorer country for it. It makes us look like fools.
Why don't we all go to eubonics?

Amen! We have had a lot of (still do) black friends, and FAMILY members, not all black, but many different races. Most conservatives I know are the same. Why blacks don’t come out to vote republican has more to do with party politics and not that they feel that we don’t care about them. To be honest, I’m sick of the republican party, as well, and I do NOT trust it, nor probably ever will again.
I think this motto is putting a dent in GOP. Articles I've read indicate it "might" be carrying past MS. Joe Carr should have bumper stickers printed up in TN, same across country.
And most importantly, any request for donations by GOP should be answered with a single piece of paper "REMEMBER MISSISSIPPI!"
Seems like Chris has had good advice to date. Let's give him a little space. Some primaries don't even take place until Sept. and he thinks he can have a new election by then.
Very good Melanie, obviously Conservative is a real word with real meaning to you and therefore you are principled. Have you considered a run at wicker?
His outrageous attack against conservative voters in MS will not stand.

Well, we’ll see. November 4th is still 3 months away. Will the anger the MS Conservatives are experiencing now, hold up until November? People tend to “cool off” and go ahead and vote for the Guy under the Republican banner on the ballot.
