It’s a shame, because one incident like this by the “good guys” will be remembered forever and always offered up by the left as evidence against them, while thousands of crimes by the “bad guys” are instantly forgotten.

And because of this no one in the media is even mentioning the three Israeli teens who were slaughtered by Hamas..their murders don’t even get a peep in the press anymore

Yes, this type of incident is shocking precisely because it is rare and out of character for the Jewish people. For the muslims, murdering Jews is sport.

Notice how the default assumption is truly that Jews are better than this, so anything that can be used against them is eagerly exploited. Kind of like how the left is eager to scrutinize and demonize conservatives, watching for less-than-perfect adherence to their own (the conservatives') moral code.

With that, the false accusers unwittingly bear *true* witness to the goodness of the people and cultures they attack and denigrate. Otherwise they wouldn't be so shocked and outraged when a Jew falls short of moral expectations. Nobody is shocked when a muslim, for example, flies into a murderous rage.
