The Federal Gov’t set new standards for State Drivers Licenses via the Real ID Act. If the States don’t meet the requirements, residents of that State cannot use a drivers license as ID for domestic flights. The court’s decision violates the Real ID Act because it forces the State of Arizona to violate the new standards. Starting January 2015, Arizona residents will need a Passport to board a domestic flight.
