Mandeville, LA Its training talk, the economic impact of hunting, TV show host Melissa Bachman, a HUGE giveaway from Nosler, and more, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.
Massad Ayoob, author, trainer, and former police officer, drops by to talk with Tom about the need for training, and the mindset needed when carrying. Ayoob teaches a course about the Armed Citizens Rules of Engagement, and as in the case of Good Guy Joseph Wilcox, shot by the Las Vegas couple in June, why one needs to be aware of all the players in a situation. For more info on Ayoob and his courses, check out http://massadayoobgroup.com/.
Bill Brassard, of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, stops in to discuss the latest NSSF report, the Economic Impact of Hunting and Target Shooting in America. The report shows that among other significant statistics, spending by America's sportsmen and women results in a total impact of $110 billion annually to the U.S. economy. The report includes a state-by-state breakdown of the economic contributions from combined hunting and target shooting activities. Read more about it at http://www.nssf.org/research.
Huntress Melissa Bachman visits Gun Talk Radio this Sunday to discuss her hunting show, Winchester Deadly Passion, now in its fourth season. The first episode airs this Sunday, July 6th, at 2 p.m. ET on the Sportsman Channel and also at 5 p.m. ET on the Pursuit Channel. Pow!!
FReepmail to get On/Off the Guntalk pinglist.
I’m in!
Howdy!
Yo!
Massad Ayoob’s gonna be on? SWEET!
I love that guy!
Had fun with TCMS folks this weekend despite adverse circumstances.
Hope you had a good one.
He is very well trained.
Dunno what the hell is going on on KPRC!
Should you intervene if you see someone attacked?
All depends.
Are you gonna die for intervening?, Will your family die for intervening?
Family safe? gotta a clear shot?
Yeah maybe.
Yer still gonna stand before a grand jury.
You oughta hear Armed American Radio’s Mark Walters do his impersonation of Mass. It’s hilarious!
He does it with the utmost respect, though.
The deep and VERY serious voice.
The monotone.
Mass’s been on his show a few times as well. They love having him on.
On that note, I’d like to pose a question to the GunTalk folks here:
If you know someone who has JUST received their CCW, and is spouting off a lot of things related to CCW for your state that you absolutely KNOW is wrong, how would you go about pointing it out to him/her?
For example:
He said that CCW folks in Colorado can’t go into a bar with their weapon(s) on us.
Wrong.
We can go into a bar, and can even drink in a bar -we just can’t be DRUNK in a bar. That’s the current law, but he didn’t believe me when I told him.
What I did was leave a whole bunch of links to credible sites and information areas in his mailbox.
We gotta look out for our fellow carrying folks, ya know.
What’s your take on this situation, FRiends?
A view unlike any you’ve seen before.
Fireworks filmed with a quadcopter:

You can generally carry concealed in bars, but I would strongly advise you be the designated driver/sheep dog.
Have a gun and a beer? Shit goes sideways?
Yer in a world of hurt regardless of what happened due to the public mania.
I caught part of the show this afternoon while doing chores. The interview with Ayoob is good.
Working okay on iHeart here...
Did you go to the range?
Love the song “Con te partirò”
Time to say goodbye.
