She went from town to town, and sat in a chair while people took turns at a microphone saying what was on their mind.

Another annoying part of that was her incessant Bobble-head 'head-bob'... up and down, up and down, up and down.

A lame effort to look interested and concerned, but I suspect it was really to try and keep from nodding off.
