The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS) - Air Operations - Oklahoma City OK, is seeking information from responsible sources and commercial agencies concerning the leasing of aircraft to fulfill its unique mission objectives.
JPATS will have exclusive use of the aircraft during the period of performance of April 1, 2014 - September 30, 2014 (6 months). (emphasis added)
This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is not a solicitation or Request for Proposal as defined by FAR 2.101, and the Government is not requesting offers or proposals at this time. Any responses to this SSN will not be accepted to form a binding contract. This is a market survey for planning purposes and no award will be made as a result of this.
A solicitation is being developed and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine the interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement.

The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS) negotiated and awarded under the Commercial Items (Part 12) a modification for the lease of one (1) Boeing 737-300 aircraft, insurance and limited maintenance for the period of performance of April 1, 2014 - September 30, 2014 with AAR Aircraft & Engine Sales and Leasing Inc., 1100 N. Wood Dale Road, Wood Dale, IL 60191-1060.

The website contains a "Sole Source Justification and Approval" statement designating AAR Aircraft & Engine Sales and Leasing Inc.
