Independence Day? 79 Percent Of Americans Are Completely Okay With The Current Level Of Tyranny

July 4th, the United States will celebrate Independence Day once again. But who in the world are we trying to kid? Our founders intended to create a society where freedom and liberty would be maximized, but that is not what America looks like today. Instead, we live in a country that literally has millions of laws, rules and regulations. We have a government that is obsessed with spying on the entire planet and that tries to watch, monitor, track and record as much information about all of us as it possibly can. A “Big Brother” surveillance grid is being constructed all around us, and our militarized police are becoming more brutal with each passing day. Sadly, most Americans don’t seem too alarmed by any of this. In fact, a new Gallup survey has found that 79 percent of Americans are “satisfied” with the level of freedom in this nation. That is a very alarming statistic.

If most people believe that everything is “just fine”, then our leaders are going to feel free to keep doing the same things that they have been doing.

That is why it is so frustrating that so many American “sheeple” appear to be so apathetic about the loss of our freedoms and our liberties.

But it was not all bad news in the Gallup survey. Let’s take a look at the good news first…

The Good News

The good news is that Gallup has asked this question many times before, and over the years the percentage of Americans that are satisfied with the level of freedom in this country has been going down. In fact, the latest figure of 79 percent is the lowest number that Gallup has ever recorded, and it puts us below 35

This means that 21% are NOT satisfied with the level of freedom in this country. Look around....thats one out of every 5 people around you. And if you study them all, you will find that the one person of the five is the one you’d most like to have on your side, anyway.

Two other points:

1) If the remaining 4 folks really understood what was going on, how many of them would change their vote to “unsatisfied?”

2) That 21% of unsatisfied people jives pretty well with the “25 million” people Bill Ayers said would have to die. Fellow Freepers........there’s a target on your back.

The author is playing games with words. The poll asks a question about freedom and the author completely misreads and inserts the word tyrant. Is this bad reporting or a complete fraud?

As I sit here reading this, I am not convinced of the percentage listed at 79% but have this one suggestion for those who “dislike America” and are “OK” with the way things are going in the U.S., it is simple enough to understand for anyone who really means what they say so here it is...........LEAVE.

Once you are no longer an American, you then have every right to say how much you dislike us but will find, you just made one major mistake and gave up the best country on earth.

If you are “satisfied” with the way things are going, then there’s no much hope for you.

Obama’s approval is 41% and 52% disapproval according to this liberal front. Rasmussen sold out and the liberals there have offset the findings to their favor. Obama wanted legal action against anyone that made bad polls against him. As bad as these seem they can not be trusted because of liberal bias.

Take out most college students, the moocher class, perverts, she-men and nancy boys, illegals, terrorist sympathizers, self loathers, along with racist elites and racist blacks and you will be left with a huge percentage who are seething like a cauldron at the tyranny and the arrogant 1.000 or so in Washington who think they are royalty.

It also depends on the definition of freedom.
Yes, Americans can leave the country at will. There is no wall holding anyone in. There is no gestapo beating your door down. Day to day life has not made very fast radical changes, but Americans are, indeed, siting in that pot of water that is rising in temperature.

It is important to remember that in the 1830s, the large majority of Americans were "ok" with slavery, and even by the time of the Civil War, it was probably 50/50. As long as people do not see a direct harmful effect on their own lives---and it often must be VERY harmful and VERY immediate---they won't do much.

Posts like this are useless and demoralizing because they harp on what we already know. Sure, we can quibble with the numbers a bit, but we Freepers know that any number is too high.

Fortunately, FR has plenty of great posts alerting us to local freedom rebellions that we can join and containing evidence that can be used in talking points.

This issue divides families: my entire biofam that I grew up in is all progressive rebels. My next door neighbor is a conservative Catholic like I am, his son and wife live directly across the street and are progressive liberals. Liberals have no philosophy by which they live, they just want to do what they want and want to take what they want. Conservatives actually live principled lives; those that don’t are lying about being conservatives.
