Question: How did his father sire Robert as a homosexual?

I've always been puzzled by homosexuals who :

1) Have children only to realize they're gay later in life and abandon their families.

2) Suddenly decide they don't want to be homosexual anymore and then have heterosexual marriages and even have kids ( see: Mayor Bill De Blasio's wife and actress Anne Heche ).

Can anybody give an explanation for this?

I've never heard it your way. But I've met lots of homosexuals [I live in Hollywood] who "try to make marriage with a woman work" and have a family. Only, to admit it's not working ... or the wife says it's not working. BTW, Anne Heche was never gay. She was pretending to be a lesbian to have an affair with Ellen.

There is no real ‘struggle’ if the person simply doesn’t ‘go there’ in his imagination.

I’ve learned that the word ‘struggle’ in this context doesn’t refer to an honest attempt to stay away from this attraction entirely rather it is used to cover the self disgust and remorse that a person feels after wallowing in it imaginatively or actually.

Normal men don’t walk around ‘struggling’ with an attraction to 15 year old girls despite the fact that most 15 year old girls are fully physically developed. Despite the tremendous (and to say nothing of NATURAL)theoretical attraction it STILL has to be worked at by an individual and no doubt would result in the same moral degradation over time.

A lot of people seem to move back and forth between the homosexual and heterosexual lifestyle. Meredith Baxter (67) was married three times. Late in life, she decides she is gay and marries a woman. Tony Perkins was gay and late in life he marries and had two children. Sadly, his wife was on one of the planes that went into the twin towers. We really don’t know why some people are homosexual. We do know that the behavior is unhealthy. A lot of people do things that are unhealthy. I don’t hate them for it, but I do not understand why we are allowing the homosexual agenda to be pushed. It is not good for the people involved and devastating for the country.

People need to recognize that sexuality is a gift from God that has very a specific purpose….it is something that was designed to provide the ultimate of intimacy between a husband and a wife as can only occur when one give him/herself over totally to the other. As an outcome of the physical pleasure and release that accompany sexual intercourse, children may result which are then born into a family surrounded by love just as God intended. People can wonder all they want about what causes homosexuality or about people who feel compelled to rape, or will participate in incest or bestiality or whatever. At the root of all these things is somebody who has taken sexuality away from God’s intended purpose and after that, only He knows what the consequences will be….but it won’t be ‘good’ and it always will be perverted. To look at this another way, there is no such thing as a ‘homosexual’, there are only those whose lives have taken serious distorted turns off of what was the God approved path and their sexuality now plays itself out in a perverted fashion (sometimes even turned in a wrong direction through no actions of their own). A person’s sexuality is a very delicate thing and it needs to be protected extremely carefully when a person is young so that it manifest itself properly when a person becomes a married and committed adult. There is nothing that anyone can prove about the relationship between cause and effect on sexual matters….it is only possible to look at this sort of a thing from a statistical perspective and by inference come to what should be obvious conclusions. How many children of loving parents who are Christ followers declare themselves to be homosexual? Minuscule few. How many teenaged girls who become sexually abused by the live in boyfriend of their shacked up moms end up declaring themselves to be lesbians? An incredibly high number. How many young men who initially experiment in threesomes end up declaring themselves to be ‘gay’? Such a high number that it can’t be just a statistical oddity. If one assumes that the sexual preferences of priests follow the societal norm, why do the statistics show an incredibly disproportionate number of those abused by priests to be young boys as opposed to young girls? Why is it that such an incredibly high statistical number of men who declare themselves to be homosexual also claim that they themselves were sexually abused as a young boy? The number is huge and not in line at all with children who come from loving families whose parents lived lives of ‘doing sex God’s way’. And on it goes.

I was reminded of how important it was for parents to live lives of sexuality purity this morning when I was reading up on a Canadian serial killer Paul Bernardo (it’s an old case but it happened to be in the news)…. For those who don’t know, he was involved in the rape of many girls and finally in the sadomasochistic slaying of his girlfriend’s sister and two other young women. In keeping with the earlier thought that ‘sexuality is a very delicate thing’, it was obvious that somewhere in his life, something had happened that sent him down this road of depravity. In doing about 2 minutes of research, it was found that he was the by-product of his mother’s adultery and she continued to live an isolated life in the basement of their family home after he was born. Clearly his ‘father’ and mother were not a couple who sexually lived their lives God’s way. Here’s a Bible verse that is very hard for most people to accept because of its intonation that it condemns multiple generations to suffer the consequences after his/her father, grandfather or great-grandfather had sinned…. Exodus 34:7 “Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation”. That word ‘iniquity’ is often translated as being the same as ‘sin’ but a more accurate rendition is that it’s the ‘root of the sin’….as preachers sometimes say, “iniquity is the root and sin is the fruit”. This verse that expresses condemnation of subsequent generations is actually repeated several times in scripture and has to be treated as a ‘curse’ of some sort…. and fortunately, curses can be broken for those who call on God’s name.
