Look at similar positions in other services. Vice Chief of Staff of the Army was commissioned in 1979 and has been in his position for over a year. Vice Chief of Staff for the Air Force was commissioned in 1980 and made four stars in 2012. Vice Commendant of the Coast Guard was commissioned in 1982 and assumed his four star office last May. It doesn’t look like her rise was all that exceptional when compared with four star peers.
Yep, that tracks then. What made her a fast tracker? Was it commanding the dock landing ship USS Rushmore or was it being an XO on a different dock landing ship during the Bosnia campaign or was it being in charge of an expeditionary strike group in 2009?
