“democrats are pinin’ for a New New Deal and oh for the good ol’ days of FDR “
________________________________________________________
You are confusing the old yellow dogs who were real Americans, but locked into the family tradition of voting Democrat.
Today’s Democrats are nothing less then Marxist-Leninist.

“Today’s Democrats are nothing less then Marxist-Leninist.”

I think the true dividing line was made visible with the second election of Obama. The persuasive “Hope/Change” mantra swayed many voters the first time around. There’s no doubt “there’s a sucker born every minute” and the low-info voters (and those in it for Obama phone and other free stuff) fell into that category. But, the higher level democrat voters KNEW exactly what Obama was up to, and welcomed his Marxist-Leninist slide with open arms.

Both my parents and my wife’s parents were “old school” Dems. True to tradition, the kids in both families (including me) followed suit.

Many years ago, I escaped, bringing my wife with me. My wife and I were able to convince both Grandmas to vote republican in both Obama elections (the Grandpas were gone). Unfortunately, my brother & sister, and the wife’s sister doubled down on the stupidity, and supported Obama in the last election. That tore it for me, as now, I knew exactly what persuasion they were.

I hate that there is now a rift in the family, but it’s good to know who’s on which side.
