The issue at this point is his criminal liability for abuse of authority, covering up crimes, etc.

If the allegations are 10+ years old and all supposedly involved were adults at that time, then this is well past the statutes of limitations. There is no big money to be made for the lawyers. It looks like a classic case of a character assassination at this point.

Archbishop Nienstedt needs to stay cool and trust in the Lord. Pray and ask for prayers. Good things may finally come out of this.
