and that's my problem with it.

Everyone wants to sound so friggin’ superior to the lowly idiots that they broadcast to.

Just tell me the weather, don't pretty it up, or act like a clown. When they start that I change the channel.

It's like calling a storm that was a Hurricane by the name it was given when it's just a thunderstorm, and I've actually SEEN the morons do that.

Thunderstorm (insert name) which used to be Hurricane Blah-Blah.

The name ‘derecho’ was actually invented in Iowa in the 1880s, where long t-storm lines are common.

It’s current use is intended to convey the idea that the phenomenon is newer or more frequent than in the past as part of the ‘climate disuption’ meme.
