Seems to me I remember reading an article about the government paying out millions of dollars to Medicare recipients in 2008 for Viagara. Talk about BS. Haven’t heard much about it since then.

I had a great individual police from 1985 to 2013 which had a high deductible and which I had only in the event I had to go in the hospital. Did not cover mental health, HIV and very limited cancer treatment. Kept it even though I was Medicare eligible because it covered only what I wanted at a monthly cost of less than $250. Received a notice last year that I could keep the policy but I had to add maternity benefits, wellness checks, and birth control, among other things, to “comply” with Obamacare mandates and the monthly cost was going to more than triple. Since my “baby” just turned 50, doubt if I’m going to have any more newbies so said thanks but no thanks.

LOL

That is another thing: “wellness visits” (we used to call them CHECK-UPS, thank you very much).

I should not even have to have a check-up, period. If I do not suspect anything wrong, that is not “medical”. It is not a NEED. If I want to waste time on that, I should pay for it myself.

I think it’s a scam. Just like the Viagra option.
