When I lived in Az I had a well on the property in the San Pedro River Valley.

That well provided water to 5 neighbors.

Once every 3 months I would gou round and collect 5 bucks apiecice from them for the electric bill that pumped the water up.

This was in the farking desert!

when we moved to our farm in `69, after moving from TX, we got our (extremely cold :) water
from our only well on the property, using that well water “was an experience“. It tasted great
and lugging that water 200' from that well @ midnight in 40° gave us a new appreciate for "modern
conveniences“. G*d I miss TX, but the 'ol TX is no more.
