Agree with you on all those points, except I don’t interpret her take on Cochrane’s strategy as “gushing” (it strikes me as factual and dispassionate) and throughout the rest of the article she makes the case for selling candidates based on Conservative ideals by doing so int black churches, not buying black votes.
