As I understand it, the draft from WWII had never ended when Vietnam rolled around; if it ended in 1975 then Ford stopped it.
Don’t lose sleep over a draft; IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. There is nothing left to defend, and resistance would be MASSIVE. Look at the demonstrations against our military actions with a volunteer military; how are they ever going to get those young people to shut up and show up?
