He’ll be found to not have stand and the court will throw it out. It’s just an attempt at making his Pubbie constituency feel like he’s trying to do something positive when in fact he’s lost even before the horse is out of the gate.

Boehner has a history of talking big but when adversity comes he’s usually the first to fold and blame others.

The correct path forward is, of course, impeachment.

But Boehner doesn’t have the will, and his GOP-E allies are more concerned about elections and perpetuation of their power and influence than doing the right thing.

Boehner’s a fool . He’s made that quite clear over the last few years.

The only question I have is, what actual result to we get if the House impeaches a dozen officials, or even the President?

I mean, Bill Clinton will forever be known as the “impeached president”. But he is a hero to his party, and to a majority of the nation if polls are to be believed.

He pulled down over $100 million in speaking fees. That’s the kind of “punishment” anybody would love.

We’ll spend a year LOOKING like we are doing something, but the Senate will do NOTHING about any of it. We had a majority and couldn’t convict a President who actually had a court conviction.

I agree with Andrew that these are impeachable offenses, and that is what the founders expected.

But they did not expect that the Senate would be the lapdog of a President from their own party. They thought the Senate would be strong in defending their own institution.

They did not expect so many dishonorable men and women to be put in a place of such power. The especially didn’t expect the states to shoot themselves in the foot (of course, they didn’t think states would be stupid enough to agree to popular election of senators either).

The court case will probably do nothing either. BUT, a court may WELL rule against Obama. And the media may well pick up the story. It may help a little bit. Probably won’t.

What we need is for the people of this country to care, and al they care about is how much money they can get from hard-working “others” who they don’t know and think cause all their problems.

When a majority of the people can legally steal from the minority, your country will fail. We are failing. How do you train the next generation to give a damn, when the means of training are tightly controlled by your enemy?

The lawsuit is stupid because Congress has all the tools it needs to stop this. I’ts called impeachment.

The speaker of the house has a bullypulpit too. Boehner is a weak character and couldn’t use it effectively. Somebody like Newt Gingrich could — in between faux paus.

At this point, a good speaker wouldn’t threaten with a measly lawsuit. He’d be threatening to impeach Obama’s inner circle, and than Obama himself. He would predict rising public animosity and violence towards the currently offending federal agencies and make the comments very public and point out that a ‘Shutdown’ is actually a better option than where we’re going.

Some unpleasant facts:
1) the Senate has an extremely partisan Democrat majority, controlled by arch-fiend Harry Reid.
2) Senate Republicans are mostly spineless wieners.
3) The House can impeach all day long, but the current Senate would not convict, even with the clearest evidence of massive crime by Obama personally.
4) Stirring up impeachment now will cause Obama’s slave army to turn out this Fall, making it less likely Republicans can achieve a Senate majority.
5) Premature impeachment would fail, but also provide the DNC Medioplex with a giant opportunity to portray Obama as a victim of unpatriotic, white supremacist, politicians.
6) It will knock all factual stories of Obama’s (and Hillary’s) incompetence and criminal maladministration off the air and front pages - just when it is finally getting some play.

So for once, I think Boehner is doing the right thing for this moment in time. The Supreme Court just blasted Obama unanimously in the NRLB recess-appointments case (an instance of the unConstitutional overreach Boehner is suing over — he should use the ruling to argue the case). His current suit will likely be spiked by corrupt Democrat judges. But having tried “every alternative” makes impeachment a much better sell next January. Then what do you do about Biden?

McCarthy is right.

The goals of an impeachment are this: So tie up Obama & Co. defending an impeachment that he has little time for his socialist, nation destroying agenda; and force the MSM to cover the impeachment, which will highlight all of Obama’s many crimes - something the MSM has loyally avoided.

An impeachment is a public indictment. Obama & Co. will have to vigorously defend against it, as Bill C did. What is more important to a narcissist: public humiliation or shutting down 100 coal mines? There are only so many hours in a day & one can only juggle so many items at one time. Needing to maintain his dwindling support, Obama will have to curtail his executive orders. Bill Clinton curtailed his indiscretions as impeachment loomed.

No news org. will be able to avoid covering an impeachment. The impeachment will be a detailed rehashing of Obama’s many crimes. Low info voters will find their “Price is Right” preempted by accounts of Obama’s lawlessness. Pundits will have nothing else to talk about. Nobody is gonna care about women's reproductive health issues when the President is on trial - for months if not years.

Let's face it: Obama cannot be removed from office. The corrupt, dishonorable Senate Democrats will never let that happen.

But his illegal activities can be put in the national spotlight, such that it would be dangerous for him to continue them. Isn't that what we want?

This court case is symbolic at best but will go no where. Obama needs to be impeached, but that will never happen. I fear Obama will keep seizing power and before 2016 will suspend the Constitution and free elections and become dictator. He is half way there already.

My general impression of establishment Republicans and Democrats in a political fight is Republicans show up in a suit and tie ready for a debate club. The Democrats show up ready for a bare knuckle brawl.

Bonehead is a fool. Impeachment is the only threat in spite of it going nowhere except voted positive in the House.

What else does one expect from an incompetent A-hole? Boehner has had the power to stop much of what Obama has been doing but what can one expect from such a weak and spineless creature. As a nation, we are going down the tubes faster than a toilet flushes. Obama is the instigator and Boehner and his cohorts are the grease.

Law enforcement is a plenary executive power, and thus any court judgment against Obama would have to be enforced by . . . Obama. That is not going to happen.

A judge’s ruling that the president is violating the law would have exactly the same practical effect as Speaker Boehner’s whining that the president is violating the law: none.

Good points.

I understand why the House may not want to impeach soetoro until after the mid term elections. They think that impeachment will turn out the free shi+ army of obamabots. Well, not impeaching him may discourage Conservatives from turning out so take your pick. I'll give them until Jan. That's it.

We do have to realize that the Republicans may win a majority in the Senate and may keep the house but there is no guarantee with the massive voter fraud the demo specialize in

In the meantime they must use every means available to them to stop this lawlessness.

The House has arrest powers and a jail. Use them.

The House has the power to deny funding. Use it.

What's to stop a governor from declaring a state of emergency and putting their National Guard on the border?

Have the governors of TX and NM put their state defense forces on the border.

Don't let anyone over the border. Let mexico deal with them.

major problem with Obama and immigration reform: nobody trusts Obama to carry out the law as written.

1. Many of us believe that once Obama gets his immigration reform bill passed, he will change it, or enforce only parts of it that he chooses.

2. For instance, look at Obamacare.

3. Obama has made so many changes to the original law through executive action that it is hardly recognizable.

4. So any lawmaker who is thinking about immigration reform this year must seriously re-think his decision.
