“..who also thinks soccer is a Communist plot..”

I don't know about a plot. But perhaps a natural extension of the conditions that Communism brings.

And it will become more popular in the U.S. when kids can't afford all of the football, hockey, and baseball equipment. Of course the fancy training camps will be the first to go, and hockey ice time is expensive.

Playing soccer with a bunch of wadded up rags, (wrapped in duct tape if you are rich) will be the sport of choice/necessity.

The idea of Little League and hockey camps is basically ludicrous. Willie Mays grew up playing stickball and Gretzky on frozen ponds.

The entire concept of adults running expensive children’s sports leagues demonstrates a lot of what is wrong in the country.

NFL football will die (if it does, and I doubt it) if it can't convince American parents to get their kids to play football. Right now, the NFL is losing that PR battle (and the owners don't care, they will retire to their respective islands when it's all over).

So the NFL will have to import players. Think about that for a minute.

Soccer is not socialist (in fact its pure capitalism) or communist. Its truly democratic, as you can play it anywhere. Open to all. All that’s needed is skill and willingness.
