You do not need to knee to pray to God. Even sitting at a keyboard does just as good as knelling.
I remember a humorous poem that had one man saying his most powerful prayer to God was one while he was standing on his head (having fallen into a well).
It’s figurative of course for a supplication. Use whatever posture you find most conducive to the act.
