A fair argument, but the Republican party needs to be broken before we end up with a viable opposition party. Lesser of two evils has gotten us nowhere.
I suspect McConnell win this just like he beat down a viable opponent in the primary. He’s got unlimited resources. That said, I will shed not a tear if he is gone.

There will be no viable opposition party ever. If dems win big, it could be a very long time, maybe never, before our side could gain steam to win.
