We’ve had a couple decades of growth of crony capitalism. First under Clinton (Robert Rubin) and now under Obama (Obamacare is about as crony capitalist as it gets). It happened under Bush too, but in a more passive/laissaiz faire way.
Now, with two years left in his Presidency, is just about the optimal time to sell out the cronies and strike. How long does it take to put together a solid lawsuit ... From “go” to indictment? I’m guessing DoJ is quiet through the elections and the first suits/indictments hit early in 2015.
That gives Obama two unrestricted years to chop the legs out from under the big business morons who were stupid enough to support him.

I think in typical Chicagoland style, this will be yet another tool for attacking his enemies, and thereby aiding his friends. The IRS is potentially small potatoes alongside this...
