than those who pay God some kind of religion-offering and then go on in world-think. Maybe they were even born again, but then got all covered in world gunk and can hardly make a move for the Lord now.

Pretty sure that trying to buy your way into heaven while continuing to sin don't work.
I think we all see that everyday.

But sometimes it looks like then, a spirit of vengeance takes over. And the result really IS self-righteousness.

Don't mistake vengeance with fighting back and don't mistake self-righteousness with self-preservation.
