*sigh* no comment on the fact that Democrats now choose the candidates for both parties. I’m disappointed with Cruz. He should have excoriated the old bas*ard for his dirty tactics, and cheating on his bedridden wife, not to mention the bestiality.
How do you get “closed” primaries? Is it a state thing or is it the Repub party state thing?
I think Cruz can take a pass on this one. He has been out there fighting the good fight and taking arrows from every place. If he decides to run for Prez - then he has to keep his ammo dry in hopes to get the GOPe on board. Simple as that, IMO. Some on here want others to shoot of their mouth at every opportunity - that isn’t always the smart thing to do. Sarah can do this because she isn’t in office nor running for one right now. Cruz is just being polite and I seriously doubt he wanted Thad to win. Once again - just my opinion.\\
I disagree. I think Cruz did the right thing here. It is not merely because it is the classy, gentlemanly thing to do. They are going to need to be be able to work together in the days to come.
As for Cochran...let’s just pray for that man. He is obviously in need of it.
How many years does Thad Cochran actually have left? He may very well not finish out the next six years, in which instance his re-election may well prove to be of no great consequence. What the heck, he may die before January 2015.
There is a back-door possibility that a three-way race, with a Democrat in the running, could prove to be beneficial to Chris McDaniel. All those votes that funneled to Cochran would revert to their natural constituency, the Democrat party, clearly a minority in Mississippi.
But don’t count on it.
Democrats and RINO’s are on thin ice... that’s the message Cruz was giving. And he’s right. Cockran’s ‘win’ was pure desperation.
