A huge issue few people talk about is companies are NOT hiring because of the uncertainly over the Obamacare mandates that kicked in starting this year. Until we get real clarity on the new mandates, nobody is interested in large-scale hiring due to the fear of a potentially huge bill to comply with the mandates.

Agree with that completely. Ditto for all the other regulations and tax laws. It is the most anti-business environment in American history.
