Take over MS State GOP party and change Primary rules.

Don't allow RINOs to allow "open Primaries" and you'll rid yourself of this kind of sham voting.

Don't pull your marbles and go home merely because you lost one vote.

Taking back the party takes determination and patience.

Ronald Reagan learned that lesson and wound up winning gargantuan elections.

He could have given up and gone home to California after losing a bruising fight to the empty suit of Gerald Ford but he didn't quit.

Reagan also didn't jump ship, cry and claim he would go "third party," merely because he lost one battle.

Yes, losing is a bitter pill but even liberals know how the game is played. In fact, they play it better than we conservatives do, i.e. lose one race and get bitter and quit.

Another point of fact is that liberals occupy the nation by running a "baby steps" game, don't go for the whole pie all at once, go for baby steps and settle for little battles in order to win BIG victories later.

Liberals didn't get where they are today by demanding everything all at once. They also don't go home and quit when they lose.

They lie in wait, when the nation's backs are turned, getting little pieces of the pie and - bingo they have gay marriage by fiat!

Liberals knew if they got the right teachers teaching the right curricula in schools, before long kids graduating high school, heading off to college, would see homosexuality as a "right" and just "another choice of relationship." Those students taught by the "right teachers" came of age believing that to deny homosexuals was the "right thing to do" and people who didn't want it to happen, were just wrong and bigots.

That's an individual candidate, and after Reagan lost the primary/convention to Ford, the party went on to lose the general election, to Carter! Reagan was still around, and good for us.

My point is that the party and the candidate are two separate things. The party chose Cochran. That doesn't mean Cochran will win the general, or that the party has managed to advance its interests.

I don't know if McDaniel is a Reagan or not. McDaniel may need to return to regular life for financial reasons; maybe doesn't compare in policy or charisma attributes.

There is another, more recent example. Murkowski. She lost the primary, and while not technically "jumping ship", won the general with support from the national GOPe.

I vote the candidate, not the party. I detest the GOPe. If I vote for a GOP candidate, it is an exception. I'd vote for Reagan, if the party ran one.
