Or, consider this article. In it we see reported that due to a shortage of arms many FSA fighters are joining ISIS.

The weapons and ammunitions shortage FSA and non-ISIS Islamist fighters are experiencing has been pushing some to lay down their weapons and others to pledge allegiance to ISIS, according to the source.

So it is not at all ill-informed to suggest that we have been arming them, perhaps inadvertently, but also quite predictably. Just as it didn't take a genius to guess that giving AR-15s to Mexican drug cartels would likely result in people being killed with those weapons, it seems kind of obvious that in a fluid multi-force civil war that suppying weapons to one group, which is contending with another, but also somewhat aligned might result in the second group ending up with the weapons.

And that's before we even get to who we have armed in Libya and elsewhere. And not to mention the Iraqi Army, who now are the main source of ISIS weapons, who we certainly armed.

It does not appear they are armed by the Russians, Chinese, French or any other major arms producing country. (IE: They are not using Russian weapons).
