Koskinen testified last night that the Sonasoft contract only covered the 3,000 employees in the Office of Chief Counsel. If true that would mean Lerner’s emails were not backed up by Sonasoft.

There definitely should be a written contract specifying in detail what service Sonasoft was to provide, especially if they were to provide backup for a limited number of employees as Koshkinen claimed.

Absolutely correct. And yes, it would be detailed. If IRS “cannot locate” a copy of the contract, the company probably will have one in their own files. There are also other resources on the web that should have it as well. It shouldn’t be that hard to find.

I believe you’re right, any contract between Sonasoft and the IRS is or should be a public document that we have a right to see.
