‘No laws broken’?
Ask this half-wit to define WHICH law he is so certain he did NOT break!
Guaranteed he DOES NOT KNOW the law and never did.
He is just ANOTHER irresponsible, unscrupulous, self-serving Liberal creep this Administration shunted into a cushy and job that is completely BEYOND his abilities and character.
People break IRS laws/rules unwittingly every year, by the tens of thousands. Most go uncaught, but those that do often get the book thrown at them by jackals like this guy. Do you think he would accept an “ignorance of the Law” argument? Of course not.
Trey Gowdy tore him a new one over this. Gowdy asked Koskinen point blank what statute he was referencing when he made that claim of legality. Koskinen said he didn’t have one, but was relying instead on common sense. Gowdy came across like Perry Mason after that one. I would highly recommend the audio of this exchange to all FReepers.
This is the story our local liberal rag ran. So just by the title, the low information voter thinks no laws were broken even though the IRS head had no clue of any of the laws that might have been broken.
Props to Trey Gowdy for getting to the bottom of that. The enemedia needs to be brought to justice as well.

Yes. He wouldn’t be so arrogant if he didn’t know for sure that the fix is in.
I’m not big on lawsuits but surely a civil case filed against various IRS figures would have a good chance of winning based on the preponderance of evidence standard?
I know the old line about the government must give permission to be sued but there is nothing, as far as I know, about individuals being sued as individuals. True The Vote v Lerner would be a slam dunk.
"No laws have been broken by the IRS!"
One law was and that was that the IRS failed to notify the national Archive that records were destroyed. The Arhivist just testified that he still hasn’t been notified and he sitting right there with other irs pukes. Seems like nice guy too ...
Flat tax. Do away with the IRS.
Flat tax. Do away with the IRS.
Yes. Trey Gowdy nailed him big time on this claim.
He then tore apart the lie that the republicans are after the WH.
And he started by tearing him apart about the loss/destruction of evidence.
My confidence that Benghazi will be handled correctly went way up after hearing this.
And I have the ability to say the sky is yellow, or the earth is flat, or that I am dating a supermodel. Doesn't mean it's true.
You have to parse the wording with these weasels.
You'd still need an IRS style collection and enforcement agency. Tweak a variation of the FairTax and phase it in instead.
The commissioner should be asked if the IRS would accept the lame lost emails excuse from any business or individual they were auditing and what punishment would be meted out to those who did. The IRS is not above the law and should be held to the same standards they would impose on taxpayers.
