I don’t care if he’s ‘off his meds.’ I don’t care if he’s ‘gang-related.’ His family could have reported both behaviors.

And I certainly don’t want a slew of psychologists paraded thru courts at tax payer expense, to substantiate the perp somehow wasn’t responsible for his own behavior because of white privilege or because somehow this poor gal contributed to her own assault. A lot of these Knockout attacks lately involve coming up from behind. We need to be very aware of who is around us and yes, increasingly it seems we need to be armed. But even armed does you no good if you never see it coming.
