Poverty and political ignorance are a socialist politician best friend as either one is essential to keep them in perpetual power.
Why?
Political ignorant people, perhaps smart in many other ways, always have and will continue to be under the misconception that one of the many versions of socialism or liberalism will provide an escape or solution from whatever problem including poverty, live throws at humanity. Apparently the Pope believes in the same crap.
Unfortunately this never has or will ever be the case, at least not in the long run and history has proven the point ad nauseam. Never the less as the old adage goes; hope springs eternal, so they keep on voting for the same misconception over and over and each and every time expecting different results, while at the same time things are going from bad to worse.
If anyone had the power of correct reasoning it certainly was Einstein who some time ago defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
It seems that society has not taken any clue or lesson from history, and the failures of their decisions as a result of their misguided thinking, are too numerous to mention and can be seen all around us.
Will society ever learn, or the Pope?
