PEARL, Mississippi A new poll shows that state Sen. Chris McDaniel has surged even further ahead in the final days of his GOP primary runoff against Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS), in what has become one of the most epic bouts to date between grassroots conservatives and the GOP establishment.
McDaniel has taken a 52 percent to 44 percent lead over Cochran, while four percent of voters remain undecided in a new tracking poll by Chism Strategies. The poll, conducted on Friday night, surveyed 697 GOP primary voters and has a margin of error of 3.8 percenta number McDaniels 8-point lead is well outside of.
Unless Cochran expands the electorate with general election Republicans and crossover Democrats, McDaniel wins, pollster Brad Chism wrote in a memo accompanying the polls release.
This poll comes on the heels of another Chism poll a couple days ago that had McDaniel at a six-point lead, 50-44.

“Whoever ran Cochrans campaign is an idiot.”
Not necessarily...there’s not much you can do when you’re stuck with a candidate like him. But these guys (campaign staff) do have to make a living, so they play the game as best as they can.
I listen to Rush on an FM station (104.9) from Pascagoula. Non-stop ads for both these guys.
Does anyone who regularly listens to NPR even vote in Republican primaries?
What’s all that stuff the MSM put out about the Tea Party being finished? Could they have been wrong?
That’s a good question. I think they do vote in the Pubbie primaries in order to vote in the most RINO candidates, but what percentage of them do I have no idea. Maybe some one can dig around and find out.
Will Karl Rove resign in defiance of McDaniel’s win?
It sure seems like he's senile based on the few comments I've heard coming from him.
Would be nice if they had said when the election is....any body know!!!!

The more the better. The bitter sweet will be even more bitter. Go home Thad, a green pasture is waiting.
Don’t slack off, McDaniel people. There’s an old saying that if the polls say you’re a million votes ahead, campaign as though you’re a million votes behind.
GOPe has thrown everything they have at this race. If Cochran wins they can say the Tea Party is no threat, if McDaniel wins they’re screwed.
Yes. I’d forgotten that many places are converting their AM talk into FM talk as well. Perhaps I should have used Sirius as the example instead.
Your hope should become a true reality next Tuesday evening when the results come in!!! I sincerely hope that the “ALL” voters of Mississippi realize that Thad Cochran, is in reality, the Obama, Obamabot, Democrat, African-American candidate for USA Senator!!! African-Americans are “adrift-at-sea”, not wanting to realize that Obama has thrown them all “under-the-bus”, which is exactly what Obama has done!!!
Actually, every single voter in the great state of Mississippi should cast their vote for Chris McDaniel. They have a golden opportunity to to change the course of USA history for the better, across the board!!! And...if the Mississippi, African-American voters had any smarts, common sense, or desire for a fruitful, productive, successful life and destiny of freedom, liberty, equality, decent education....they all would be voting for Chris McDaniel!!! POTUS Obama could care less about them. He is more interested in his beloved Muslim Brotherhood!!!
Attention: “ALL” Mississippi Voters.....VOTE FOR CHRIS McDANIEL next Tuesday, June 24, 2014!!! defeat...”Democrat” Thad Cochran!!!
But Brett Favre (pronouned favour i think) and Haley Barbour (pronounced Bar Burr) both endorsed the freakin RINO! What’s wrong with you insubordinate Mississippians! Brett and Haley have spoken dag nab it! Now pay heed to your football and political leaders! And maybe you’ll get a shiny new pair of wranglers. Just like the ones Brett Favour wears in those cool commercials.
Cochran had zero chance when McDaniel forced the runoff, which makes you wonder about the desperation from the establishment.
