I wonder what kind of drugs he does?
Come to think of it, nobody was armed in The Stand, so this gun fear must go WAY back. Maybe we should tweet him back ‘where’d you pick up this phobia?’
It’s been sometime since I read “The Stand,” but I seem to remember one scenario when two really bad guys broke out of prison and were on the road somewhere in the Southwest, they encountered a broken down car and pulled over to see what they could steal. The driver of the broken down car staggered around the car. One of the bad guys, nicknamed “Poke,” shot the poor guy with his immense revolver and said “that dude’s been ‘Pokerized.’” Or words to that effect. IMHO, Stephen King peaked with “The Stand.”
He doesn’t even know the difference between a rifle and a shotgun. He uses them interchangeably to describe the same gun in his stories.
