They can make any half serious shooting enthusiast into some raving lunatic, with enough arms and ammo stockpiled to "start a war". "They had an arsenal in their home, with children living there!!!"
I'd love to see how these morons may sensationalize a story, just after walking into one of my 'gun rooms'. It isn't AT ALL uncommon for someone to have thousands of rounds of ammunition.(Just a few cases)

I reload ammo. There are a dozen one pound cans of powder in my loading room, all different burn rates for different cartridges.
In my garage is a box of 2.5 and 3.5 inch exhaust pipe, some left over from one project, and a stock of stuff for a planned project.
I have bomb making materials if the feds decide I am a menace.....
