I read the initial reports; I read this one, too. Unless there's something new they're not reporting, they're all the precursor chemicals that have been inspected/labeled/inspected ad nauseam by the UN. They're not 'chemical weapons'; they're the same chemicals that the libs refused to consider WMDs when (rightly) mocking the Bush admin.

There were no WMDs; Curveball lied (imho, he was a double agent) and it was all fake. Carnegie Endowment Report, 'WMD in Iraq: Evidence and Implications' and a summary thereof. Chemical arms can be made from basic industrial chemicals and, yes, some specific precursors. The 'dirty little secret' was that Iraq made lousy chemical weapons with very short shelf lives. Many of what's reported here is 'old news' and twisted/relabeled for propaganda. I'm mad as hell that no one was previously prosecuted at any intelligence levels for this failure (let alone Curveball). The same idiots (CIA) that led the Bush admin to war with false intel are still at work, apparently.

These reports do not excite me; they piss me off.

The DailyBeast/Newsweek (libs) seem intent on a drumbeat to war of-late. Maybe they shouldn't have sat silently when the Puppet refused to leave ANY 'Stay-behind Forces' under the Status of Forces Agreement with Iraq governing drawdown, framed under GW.

Libs on a drumbeat to war during which the lib mantra was "Bush lied/people died" and there was literal silence as the casualty rate dramatically escalated in 'Bama's Good War' (AF). Nice. /s

Libs drumbeating for war over...what? I must've hit my head last night and awoke in 'Idiocracy' or 'Bizzaro-world'; wake me when it's over...I've got a bottle to tame...

Allow the President to invade a neighboring nation whenever he shall deem it necessary to repel an invasion . . . and you allow him to make war at pleasure . . . If today he should choose to say he thinks it necessary to invade Canada to prevent the British from invading us, how could you stop him? You may say to him, “I see no probability of the British invading us”; but he will say to you, “Be silent: I see it, if you don’t.

Abraham Lincoln

20 years ago I might not have agreed with that statement. 20/20 hindsight being what it is, well...

I guess if you were a kurd back in the 80s and choked and bled to death in the streets, then the Iraqis were sufficient enough at making chemical weapons, no matter the shelf life.

Personally, I see this currently, as no reason to “go to war” either. I don’t think we have that to worry about. But this is hardly the point. Hypocrats made the removal of terrorist sodamn insane and sons 100% about WMDs when it clearly was not.

There was a previous lost war and subsequent breaking 18 resolutions after the fact...kind of parallels one other country circa 20s and 30s thumbing their nose at prior agreements, and that lunatic got ignored and appeased and before you know it you have tens of millions of people dead.

Again, I think it was the right thing to do to get rid of a terrorist regime with a proven track record for proclivity to attack and war with neighbors (Saudis, Iran, Israel, Kuwait), slaughter the kurds, trying to make nukes, yellow cake, yellow cake to Canada...it’s just too much reality to ignore.

So no...I don’t see it the same way libs (rightly) mocking W...after 911 when Bubba let Bin Laden go multiple times, and hypocrat after hypocrat is on record pre-war about what a menace Insane was and had to go yet never did a thing about it, AND Bush got congressional approval, the hypocrats didn’t have to vote for the war, then whined when W pulled the trigger?

MOREOVER, they did everything conceivable to support the enemy during time of war...but that’s what people like Heinz-Kerry do....and still does to this day. And to this day, they say it was an unnecessary war, blame Bush for zerrhoids failures post-war...and so on.

America hating communists using Islamic terrorists to degrade world stability and American security.

GREAT CALL!/s

And on the flipside of your argument with Lincoln you have Chamberlain and all those implications. Bush had no way of knowing the future or Iraq’s capability or Insane’s limits for violence. He had to work with what he had to work with and a lunatic with rape-rooms, feeding tigers people for fun, yet in charge of a country, a military, scud missles...8 million dead in the Iran/Iraq war...it’s not like this guy turned over some new leaf...if he did I sure missed it.

There were WMDs in Iraq...chemicals, scuds, tanks, jets, bombs, mortars, suicidal maniacs...

As Rush says, I live in Realville.

The reason I do not want to go back to Iraq, is if sunnis are killing Shiites and vice versa, then that means, logically they’re spending more time and energy killing each other rather than Americans, brits, Israelis....

Question: When Zerrhoid said he would stand with his muslim brothers when the political winds blow ill....was he going to stand with sunnis or Shiites?
