Think about it - if homosexuality were genetic, it would have died out long ago because homos can’t mate to pass along that characteristic.

On the other hand, people who have a genetic predisposition toward alcoholism can (and do) make offspring that do also.

I agree. It is a good analogy. Alcoholics are addicted to alcohol. Gays are addicted to _____ . ....: )

I agree, what Perry articulated has always been my stand on the issue.

I like Perry believe that gays are born that way (although it's a spectrum and not black and white) but in the end it's the CHOICE to act on that born predisposition that is wrong.

Rick Perry owes an apology to alcoholics everywhere. I do not know any alcoholics who want their condition declared "normal" and seek to destroy any who don't agree.

Many alcoholics even realize they have a drinking problem.
