A week before Lerner's hard drive "crashed," Camp had sent a letter to Treasury requesting info about the targeting of Reps. So a week later, her hard drive crashes.
And the Dems are using the fact that she sought their restoration as prima facie evidence that she was not destroying evidence. I suspect she had erased all of those messages and wanted to confirm that they could not be retrieved.
I still don't know why there are not backups from mirror servers. The crash of her personal computer should not mean the loss of all her documents, including emails. I worked in the federal government for 36 years. This is simply not possible.

It’s easy to be smug when you are the Commissioner of the most untouchable governmental agency in the world.

Democrats back to the lie that the IRS didn’t target conservative groups alone.

They continue to try and harp on this. This WAS 99% conservative groups! Furthermore, it was under pressure from DEMOCRATIC SENATORS!

Once again, the democrats fawning over the poor IRS chief who the republicans are abusing. Sickening.
I hate to say it but it's all dog and pony. If Washington DC had a shred of decency, when Lerner issued her bizarre admission that conservative groups had been targeted by rogue employees, the IRS should have gone on lock down and independent law enforcement should have combed through the emails to get to the root of the problem. As long as DC continues to investigate itself and have the opportunity to 'turn over' specific things that Congress asks for, this situation will repeat itself.
Rod Serling Voice; Imagine a world where the police contact John Gotti and ask him to send them the guns used to kill victims and a list of names of the hit men he used to carry out the murders.

The big problem is that the repubs have their hands tied in that they will not say anything disparaging or accusatory toward ‘rat senators.

So far, the Reps are doing a piss poor job on interrogating Koskinen. We need someone to start asking technical questions.
Tiberi, the Rep, says he doesn't think there is a cover-uo. WTF.
