White House press secretary Jay Carney says he never lied to the press corps during his three and a half years as the top presidential spokesman.
Honestly, it's not because Im a paragon of virtue, its because that would be a terrible way to do the job, Carney told reporters at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast.
The press secretary admitted that he sometimes could not or did not want to answer questions posed by reporters.
What you do when you cant say is you dont, Carney said. You take the question or you explain what you can.
Carney will leave his post as press secretary on Friday. His deputy, Josh Earnest, is slated to take over his position.
Opponents of the administration have accused the longtime press secretary of occasionally playing fast and loose with the truth. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) blasted him last summer as a paid liar for his explanation of the Internal Revenue Services targeting of conservative political groups.
The administration is still, their paid liar, their spokesperson, picture behind, hes still making up things about what happened and calling this local rogue, Issa told CNN.

He was never alone with that woman, Ms. TRUTH, not the once.
“I never lied”, Carney lied.
What better way to absolve yourself of lying but by lying about it?
He is right.
He never told “a” lie.
He told many lies.
How does this man live in his own skin? Does he feel guilt or shame? I can’t breathe when I tell a lie. My body can’t function properly. My conscience screams “Stop!” as the lie forms in my head and begins to pass my lips. Nausea, sleeplessness, irritability, anxious trembling in my hands and knees are my constant partners for days in the aftermath of telling a lie. If not for the life-restoring blessing of God’s mercy through the sacrament of Reconciliation I doubt I would be alive to type these words. I pray that Carney and his fellow deceivers in the Obama administration seek the mercy of the One who loves them beyond measure.

Oh I get it. It’s one of those paradoxical statements that disproves itself. Clever, Carney. Very clever. *slow clap*
Jay Commie will be on MSNBC in 6 months.
