On the English part of CC, my understanding is that it switches the emphasis between fiction and non-fiction. Before CC, it was 80% fiction. CC is 80% non-fiction. This goes hand-in-hand with workforce prep rather than reading the classics, for example.

Looks like they want this for college/univ. as well... So, what books will there be in “English Lit 101”?

I think that there’s a bit of misleading language here. CC would count politically weighted harangues as non-fiction.

It also opens the door to all sorts of propaganda, too, such as reading documents from the EPA and other government agencies.
