Not necessary — the dullards’ responses are predictable.
Bengdahl will be the Democrat’s Presidential pick in a couple of decades.
Bob is a homeschooling Calvinist former pastor who also likes to pray in Arabic and stalk women half his age.
Bowe moved into his ballet teacher's apartment when he was 17, got kicked out of the Coast Guard, and told people he wanted to cut off a Talabani's face and wear it as a mask.
Nothing either says or does can be reconciled from one day to the next.
I read them and you are right. The generation coming up now will put the final nail in our coffin.
Was Bergdahl one man for his fellow Soldiers and the opposite man for his father?
I didn’t see any mention of the allegations of war crimes in the article. Well-written stuff, as usual, WaPo.
People, people, don’t worry about it. Hollywood is making sure the “real” story is told. Now don’t you feel better?
If that’s the case, then Democrats would call him Presidential material.
Don’t be surprised if they make him out to be a war hero and have him run for POTUS like John Kerry.
You mean “burning food stocks”?
I read the comments after the article and I am just stunned. My understanding is that a whole platoon was up on this outpost. In the Marine Corps that is 39 men plus a few more like Platoon Cmdr, corpsman and some others. If the Army is structured similar to the Marine Corps we can assume that there were 40 some guys at this outpost. Not one of these guys has come out in defense of Bergdahl.
America has seen too many war movies. The ones were some atrocity happens and the tough guy platoon sergeant bullies everyone into covering it up. Non military types need to use a little common sense here. Does anyone really think that if there was some war crime committed (as is insinuated in the article) that Bergdahl would be the only one to feel bad about it and speak out? Military people are just people, not a bunch of blood thirsty killers out to do criminal actions on the poor unsuspecting civilian population. Not one member of his platoon has come forward to defend him. They are all in unison. That is pretty damning evidence. No, the only crime that was committed here was desertion.
First they said he was a sensitive and fragile poet/artist. Now he’s bloodthirsty.
