With these guys, you have to parse carefully. Sometimes, they just leave out a few key words. They said “No emails”, but what they meant was “No emails LEFT”.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said the White House searched for all communications between the former IRS official, Lois Lerner, and executive office personnel.”
However, those from Lerner sent to someone else, then forwarded to the White House are not considered to be from Lerner to the White House.
No search was made on the subject matter or that included Lerner other than as direct sender.
How about those sent to people in the White House who are not “executive office personnel”?
