Some conservatives say the recent primary loss of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) shows a Republican like former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush cannot win a presidential primary because of his views on immigration. Bush and another Florida politician hoping for the presidency are taking very different approaches to the issue.
As the dust settles on Cantor's stunning primary loss, some analysts say he was ousted because he was seen as a Washington insider. Others say Virginias open primary allowed Democrats and independents to sabotage his race.
But conservatives, like Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), say it shows their party's base is opposed to comprehensive immigration reform. Says Rep. King, If youre going to point to one single issue that this election pivoted on, it was on immigration and it was on amnesty.

Republicans have been told, "You'd better support amnesty, and you'd better support an open border, and you'd better support them 'coming out of shadows,' or you're never gonna win." Obama's leading that charge, and he's dropped 23 points among Hispanics in a year and a half, from 67% approval in January 2013 to 44% today.
I'll get the link from the poll... If Jeb thinks 'the people' want a few million more illegals, he's nuts. And yeah, it'll cost him the nomination. Even Hispanics don't want a few million more illegals to compete with...

Hey Jeb, how are those superior latino family values working out? Theyre abandoning 10s or even 100s of thousands of their children. Yep, theyre so much better than we Americans. And oh, they work better and are more fertile too. Jeb, your noble savage racism is insulting.Jeb talks the liberal elite talk. Maybe Jeb, Michael Moore, and John Kerry can meet at the club - compare their mansions and talk about the kindness of 'the help'...
