hahahah PAY -TV providers NOT Internet providers.

The reason they were losing customers was because they had shitty TV and Sat had better choices.

And woohoo you can download stuff at 60 MBPS its really sparky, Sparky: From the Charter Terms of Service

"Thresholds are commonly used in the industry, and Charter has established in the Company's Acceptable Use Policy "AUP" residential service thresholds at 100 gigabytes (GB) of bandwidth per month for customers subscribing to Lite and Express services, 250 GB of bandwidth per month for customers subscribing to Plus and Max (Grandfathered) service and 500 GB of bandwidth per month for Ultra100 service."

So wow you can download really fast then pay more or get throttled. IOW they are using bait and switch. Now consider this: June 14, 2014

Comcast's plan to make its merger with Time Warner Cable palatable to regulators would elevate Charter Communications to being the second-largest U.S. cable company.

The two companies announced a divestiture plan early Monday that would take effect after the close of the Comcast-Time Warner Cable merger. Charter would acquire about 1.4 million of Time Warner Cable's current subscribers in a cash deal, boosting its customer base from 4.4 million to 5.7 million. [snip]

The Comcast-Time Warner Cable deal faces likely approval from the Justice Department but was recently met with reluctance by a Senate panel. "I am deeply concerned that Comcast's proposed acquisition of Time Warner Cable would give Comcast both the power and the incentive to act as a gatekeeper on the Internet, raising costs and limiting choices for consumers," wrote Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., in a letter recently. See how open the free market in Cable TV is. They get to swap customers as long as the Gub'ment approves it. AND the customers have no say in it except pleading to the FED GOV. Now I wonder who the FED GOV will listen to? The customers OR the Lords of K Street who will dump tens of millions in the politiclowns campaign war chests?

Its all smoke and mirrors Sparky and we have definitely established some truth here:

First: There is no Free Market in Cable Communications

Second: You know exactly two things about the issue, Jack and Shit...

Hahahah

“First: There is no Free Market in Cable Communications”

I started checking providers to my house. I stopped at ten and this does not include cell phone hotspots.

Angies List says there are 334 internet providers in Houston.

hmmm. For $40 a month I can cruise around town streaming music or watch a movie or TV show while waiting for wife to shop or trade stocks on-line in the car or at the mall 24/7.

Free market at work!
