Disagree. I think it’s actually a good thing for the GOP that Hillary is saying this *first*. Whenever someone in the GOP makes a commensense pronouncement like this, we get flamed as hard-hearted, evil, etc. But now that Hillary has broken ground here, every GOP candidate can say it too. (And of course it should not only be said early and often, but acted upon!! Immediately!!!!)
There's another angle.
If a Republican would have spoken first, he would have 'locked out' Hillary. She would have been stuck with either silence, or pleading for amnesty.
This way she gets two things, she gets amnesty, because that's what's going on, and she gets to claim she was against it.
