JEB BUSH ADVISER AFTER CANTOR LOSS: LAURA INGRAHAM 'PAPER TIGER'

Conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham help propel Dave Brat to one of the biggest upsets in political history and may have helped destroy amnesty legislation in this Congress despite the hundreds of millions spent to push it.

Brat ousted House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) last week when his message tying Cantor to crony capitalism and corporate welfare that stiffs working Americans only resonated after he started to hammer Cantor on his support for amnesty legislation. Brat, an economics professor, often said amnesty was the greatest issue that symbolizes the divide between Wall Street elitists and Main Street Americans.

But Mike Murphy, a conservative-bashing consultant who often acts like the "priests" he so despises, has been proclaiming otherwise, even though he did not even pay attention to the race. Murphy, a top Jeb Bush adviser who wants to destroy any suggestion that Republicans may not like amnesty in order to help his client, referred to Ingraham as a "paper tiger" on Sunday.

Laura can handle herself and mix it up pretty good. calling her a "paper tiger" is very laughable.

Calling her a "paper tiger" is actually something of a compliment.

She's not in the business of running for office or running some part of government.

She's in the idea business, i.e. writing great thoughts on PAPER and then presenting them to her huge audience.

And Laura is definitely a tigress when it comes to composing her thoughts and broadcasting them to her listeners.

She lives in the beltway.

What is the radio market like in Brat’s district? Is it the same as Boehner’s district?

I love Mark Levin, but Laura was on to Brat and supporting him long before Levin was.

It’s the FOX connection. FOX has given Laura more face time than Levin, whom I prefer, actually, but Laura was linked with FOX even before her radio program, and that visibility link nets her more of the credit and plenty of push back criticism than she may deserve, and more than Mark. Especially from the Left.

I’m guessing this is the same guy who managed McCain’s failed bid against obama.

If it is, he must really hate conservative women: first Palin and now Laura.

murphy who had previously advised romney and mccain wanted to be a neutral unofficial advisor to both of them.

Laura was engaged to a jerk who dumped her when she got breast cancer. She then decided to adopt unwanted children from Russia and rescued them from orphanages where too often the children are very neglected. She does her radio program from her home, gets book royalties and occasional TV and makes plenty of money to support her 3 children without having to be married to someone nasty like you who obviously knows nothing about her life.

Laura Ingraham is emerging as the second most effective conservative radio host after Mark Levin. It is perhaps no accident that she and Levin have led the charge in upsetting Cantor in Virginia 7.

Many radio hosts will take on Democrats but Laura is willing to take on Republicans and pin them to the mat especially on the issue of immigration. She is not afraid to rough up Republicans when she sniffs Rino-ism. For that alone she stands out.

Ingraham drives relentlessly with an indomitable single-mindedness concerning the amnesty threat and she deserves great credit for what she accomplished in that race and for the larger accomplishment of taking immigration "reform" off the table for this Congress.

Yes, she is possessed of annoying personal habits, born of arrogance and fed by her passionate commitment, which burst out in interrupting guests and dominating interviews with endless filibusters. This is a small price to pay for someone who gets it and who is doing it.
